A 34-Years-Old Kieron Pollard announced his retirement from international cricket on Wednesday night by handling his Instagram account post. Pollard was the Captain of the ODI and T20I cricket teams. Currently, he plays for the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Kieron Pollard International Cricket Career:

Former West Indies Captain Pollard made his first international debut in ODI against South Africa in 2007. A Trinidadian cricketer played 123 ODIs, scored 2706 runs at an average of 26 and a strike rate of 94.4 also took 55 wickets since 2007. Pollard played the last ODI match against India on 20th February 2022, the second home for him due to his long association with Mumbai Indians.

After following a Year, He made his T20Is debut for West Indies against Australia in Bridgetown in 2008. He played 101 T20I matches, scoring 1569 at an average of 25.3 and strike rate of 135.1 and picking up 42 wickets, having a fantastic career in white-ball cricket.

Like many young persons, Pollard also had a dream to represent his nation when he was a boy of 10 years. Now, He feels proud to have represented the West Indies cricket team in the T20I and ODI (White ball Cricket) for over 15 years.

A medium-pace Bowler can still sharply remember making his international debut in 2007 under the leadership of his childhood hero, Brian Lara. Pollard has felt great while wearing maroon colors and playing with such greats. The soul comes in every facet of the game – whether in bowling, batting or fielding.
