Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was out for 22 off 16 by fast bowlers Mohammed Shami, and Yash Dayal worked up a good pace to keep Rajasthan on the backfoot from the beginning of the match.

In the second Inning, Gujarat Titans have lost Wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha for 5 off 7 and Matthew Wade for 8 off 10, taking wickets by Prasidh and Boult before Gill and Pandya put the chase back on track. This situation kept up Gujarat Titans under high pressure.

Skipper Hardik Pandya beat Ravichandran Ashwin with a four and six in the 12th over, and the pair made 63 runs for the third wicket to put the pressure back on the bowling side. 

Finally, Yuzvendra Chahal got his 27th wicket- Pandya out with his leg-spin and overtook Wanindu Hasaranga of Royal Challengers Bangalore, who was the tournament’s leading wicket-taker.

Buttler finished with four centuries and 4 half-centuries having a strike rate of 149.05 and an average of 57.53. The Run-making machine Buttler hits as many as 45 sixes in his best IPL season. Buttler, who equaled Virat Kohli’s record of four centuries in one IPL season, was named player of the tournament.

All the caps and most of the awards were rewarded to Rajasthan Royals except IPL 2022 winner Title, and Gujarat Titans deserved the Winner of IPL 2022 because of the qualities of Hardik Pandya as a captain who led the team very effectively and efficiently. The first-time skipper won the man of the match and won the title for the team under the guidance of Coach Ashish Nehra.
